Overview:
Welding is a fabrication process whereby two or more parts are fused together by means of heat, pressure or both forming a join as the parts cool. Welding is usually used on metals and thermoplastics but can also be used on wood. The completed welded joint may be referred to as a weldment.
What does the welding program do?
The welding program teaches students shop safety and welding skills. Each student has the opportunity to receive OSHA 10 training. Along with the opportunity to gain WV State Welding Bend Certification in shielded metal arc welding and gas metal arc welding, students will be taught basic blueprinting, fabrication and project management skills.
